Poland has experienced rapid, uninterrupted growth since the post-Soviet era. In fact, it is now the sixth-largest economy in the EU, and has become a key European success story. Over the last 30 years, Poland has developed a plural yet highly polarised media environment comprising, in addition to the public radio and television broadcasters, a broad political spectrum of private media outlets, from socially liberal to ultraconservative. Internet access reaches over 80% of the population today, and the government is working to increase broadband internet service. Our panel discuss their experience and knowledge of the marketplace and how Poland has gone through several decades of accelerated growth and change.
